I agree with @Riaz, question is not framed in a meaningful way. Question feels like definition for kinematic chain and asking whether the given definition is correct or not.. As @Riaz said, the word "called" shouldn't have been used

Kinematic chain is having degrees of freedom 1..f = 3(l-1)-2J-k.
l: number of links.
j: number of binary joints.
k: number of higher pairs.
Here l=4 j=4 and k=0 hence degrees of freedom is 1..it is kinematic chain.
