Yes, ofcourse, Cam and follower is an open pair, because it is not held mechanically. And why it is closed pair.

In the above question, the correct answer is d i.e. Closed Pair not a correct answer A.

When two links of a kinematic pair are not held together mechanically but remain in contact with each other under the action of the force of gravity or some spring action, then such a pair is called an open pair.
