Option D will be for crossing the maximum or the ultimate stress so, your approach is wrong. Option B is correct as after elastic point the yield point starts and the plastic deformation initiates.

No, the correct answer is B as it tends to be partially plastic beyond the point A.

How it is possible upto O to A it obeys hooks law and B and C are the yield point and in between D and E it observe plastic range the answer must be D.
