Put a=b=l/2, in option B, you will get wl3/48EI.

Which is max deflection in case of simply supported with a point load. Thus option B is correct.

Option B is right because the power of unit 4 is cancelled by 1power of lenght in denominator. Final power of unit is 3 which is right.

I think option A is the answer. Because for point load the deflection in a simply supported beam is WL^3/48EI.

Option B is not possible as (a^2 *b^2) gives the unit in to the power 4 i.e. (unit^4) which is only possible for uniformly load and incase of UVL.
