A beam in which bending stress developed is constant and is equal to the allowable stress, is called a beam of uniform strength.

I think its bending stress. Bending moment is only constant in particular cross section and it varies from a distance of application of load. Bending stress being load + MOI property, this property may be varied to give same stress in every cross section. In that case cross section also will not be same.

Correct me if I am wrong.

M would be related to either the depth or width of the beam.

Should not it be bending moment? Can anyone help me?
