It will induce thermal stress.

Stress is induced only when there is obstruction otherwise there will no stresses are induced.

Thermal stress induced only if constrain is also provided it means it should be fixed from one end when given the heat per temperature.

Stress is generated in the body when we will applying an external force to opposing the body expanding.
But heated body there is no any restriction so stress.

As it is free expansion no stress will be induced.

Bar is freely expanding hence there is no load on it hence no stress will induce.

It is no stress because it is free to expand. Else it will be a thermal expansion.

Free to expand no give thermal stress we consider thermal stress because the temperature is given.

Stress is not depend upon the temperature.

No stress will be there because stress is the internal resistance per cross-sectional area. There is no such resistance to expansion. Also, no thermal stress will be there since there is free expansion and thermal stress is produced when there is resistance to expansion.
