There is no restriction in expansion so no stress will generated.

Stress is not related with temperature. So its having no stress.

In Thermal Stresses the stress does not depends on temperature.

The bar is free to expand, so no stress will be developed.

In case temp reduced from 50 to 30, then what will happen?

Bar is subjected to free expansion so there is no stress.

Stress induced due to temperature is temperature stress.

Stress = load/area. Stress independent of temperature.
