Mild steel is ductile material and ductile material has higher tensile strength compared to compressive strength.

I think option B is correct.
Tensile loaded ductile materials are failed by shear and when go into the molecular level the crack propagation is more and shows earlier failure of material. But in case of compressor load due to compression it will fills the gap and will withstand more load i.e. stress before failure.

Compressive strength is more than tensile strength beacuse shear failure can occur during tensile loading but in compressive load case it fills the gap between molecule and then fail.
