In velocity compounding of an impulse turbine, the expansion of steam takes place in a nozzle or a set of nozzles from the boiler pressure to condenser pressure.

The answer is wrong because for the velocity compound we equipped stages of blades. If we use a nozzle the velocity increases. Then how it will compound?

Expansion is done in a single nozzle. Actually, combination in velocity compounded is like this. N, MB, FB, MB, FB, MB.
