Due to limiting friction it is difficult to push than pull.

Pushing result in buckling of long broaches, so they are short and bulky in compare to pulling broaches.

Further, less no of teeth gives less mrr to avoid higher load to avoid buckling.

Why push broach removes less material? And also what is the reason behind providing less teeth to push broach?

Dear @Akhil,

Push & pull broach are one type of tools used in the broaching machine. The push broach tool is inserts in the work piece while machining & the pull broach is coming out of the work piece at the time of machining. Pull broach machining is generally used for boring purpose.
