Jigs-hold , locate & guide the workpiece.

Fixture-only hold & locate the workpiece.

Jigs are used for holding & guiding the tool in drilling, reaming & tapping operation.

Fixture are used for holding the work in milling, grinding, planning & turning operation.

Jig only both hold the work piece and guide the tool.

Some times both jig & fixture guides tool but most of the cases.

Jig guides the tool & fixture holds work piece.

A fixture supports the work piece where as the jig supports the work piece and also guides the cutting tool so option A is correct.

A jig supports the tool whereas the fixture guides the tool. So answer A is wrong.
