In case of point angles,
1. Low point angle for soft materials.
2. High point angle for hard materials.
In case helix angles,
1. Low helix angle is for hard material.
2. High helix angle is for soft material.

To drill aluminium a drill with high helix angle should be used that is helix angle should be greater than 30 degrees. But in most of the occasion helix angle should be less than 30 degrees because for mechanical advantage to be in action helix angle should be less than 30 degrees.
