Chip velocity: Velocity of chip with respect to the tool.
Cutting velocity: Velocity of tool with respect to work piece.
Sheer velocity: Velocity of chip with respect to work piece.
Cutting velocity: Velocity of tool with respect to work piece.

Chip velocity - The velocity of tool along the tool face.
Cutting velocity - The velocity of tool acting along the workpiece.
Shear velocity - Chip velocity + cutting velocity.
