How it can depend upon BHN?

DEEKSHIT said:   9 years ago
Fatigue life depends on the strength of beams of gear.

The strength of beam = Brinell hardness number 0.16 (BHN/100) ^2.

The correct answer should be B.

It depends on yield strength.

C is the correct answer.

What if the yield strength is low and BHN high?

In this case, BHN is of no use. So the answer should be yield strength.
