                If f is applied on L length sprig it will deflect by x distance. 
When spring is L/2 deflection is also x/2 for same force f.
And K=F/deflection.
Therefore k is inversely proportional to deflection.
When deflection is half K is double.
                When spring is L/2 deflection is also x/2 for same force f.
