As speed increases, the centrifugal effect also increases and therefore power decreases with increase in speed. Power is max when centrifugal tension is equal to one-third of total tension.

Given option C is correct. Because belt speed increases, power transmitted decrease due to slip in belt.

When the speed of belt increases the frictional tension decrease between pulley and belt so power decreases.

C is correct, because when speed increases centrifugal tension increases which decreases the power (Tmax-Tc:T1).

@Nisar. Centrifugal tension doesn't have any effect on power transmission.

It first increases reaches a maximum and then decreases.

C is correct, practically speed increases than slip increases and so power decrease.

@Jagadbandhu.
Centrifugal tension does not affect power transmission upto 10 m/sec, But here speed is so high that we have to consider Centrifugal tension. Due to Centrifugal tension slip occurs, thus reduces power transmission.
Hence Option C.
