A. Variations in load acting on a member (NOT Variation but type of loading).
B. Variations in properties of materials in a member (not depend on property as such).
C. Abrupt change of cross-section (Right....in Static loading we take Kt and in dynamic loading we take Kf, considering notch sensitivity).

So only abrupt change in geometry(option D).

Answer should be all of these as in machine design the SC factor is also affected by cracks etc.

The answer should be [D] as Stress concentration is caused due to all of above reasons.

Abrupt change in material also causes stress concentration.
