Since maximum shear stress is equal to (4/3) times of average stress..
Avg shear stress = F/A.
A=(π/4) *d^2.
Avg shear stress = F/A.
A=(π/4) *d^2.

t max = vQ/Ib.
q = pixd^2/8 x (4d/3 x 2 x pi).
b = d.
I = pixd^4/64.
Thank you.

T max = 4/3*T avg.
T avg = 4*F/(3.14*d*d).
T avg = 4*F/(3.14*d*d).

How is this possible?

For circle,
Shear Stress = FAy/It.
= F* (((pi/8)*d^2)*(2d/3pi))/((pi/64)*d^4*d).
= 16F/3pid^2.
Shear Stress = FAy/It.
= F* (((pi/8)*d^2)*(2d/3pi))/((pi/64)*d^4*d).
= 16F/3pid^2.
