It can also be calculated from the area under the stress-strain curve which is nothing but area of a triangle. 1/2 base * height.

Modulus of resilience = Proof resilience/Volume.
=(1/2)*stress*strain.
=(1/2E)*(stress)^2.
Thus, Modulus of resilience is proportional to (shear stress)^2.
=(1/2)*stress*strain.
=(1/2E)*(stress)^2.
Thus, Modulus of resilience is proportional to (shear stress)^2.
