In case of otto cycle, A fuel pump Or flow through gravity is required to meet carburetor/fuel injection system. After this system no external work is done to inject the mixture inside the combustion chamber.

Also the suction pressure is more to meet the needs for combustion.

Please explain this.

Diesel engine also works on otto cycle, and we also inject fuel in the compressed air.

The question is an injection of fuel so the answer is correct.

Petrol engines usually work on otto cycle but they must need a spark plug.

Then the given answer is wrong.
