It should be mentioned in the question that (for same time interval). Hence 4 stroke will be in its second stroke the time 2 stroke has already given the power.

In four stroke engine there is separation of four stroke means suction, compression, power and exhaust, but in the two stroke engine during stroke suction and compression at one time and power and exhaust at one time. So two stroke engine have require less time to four stroke as compare to four stroke engine.

In 4 stroke engine, the crankshaft revolutes 2 times after 1 power stroke but in 2 stroke engine, the crankshaft revolves only one time after 1 power stroke for the same parameters.

That's why 4 stroke diesel engines produce half of the power produced by 2 stroke engines for the same parameters.
