Hydraulic mean depth = area of flow/wetted perimeter.

So in this case, (circular dia=d).
Area = π r^2.
Perimeter = 2 π r.
On dividing we get;
r/2= d/4.

Hydraulic mean depth = area of the flow/wetted perimeter.
= (π * r^2)/2* Π * r.
= r/2,
= d/4,
As, r = d/2.

Hydraulic mean depth = area of the flow/wetted perimeter,
M = d^2/4(d),
= d/4.

Here, the value doesn't change for running full or half.
