@Apoorva they asked for stable condition.

Answer 'A' is correct.

Apoorva said:   10 years ago
Answer should be true because at neutral condition, metacentre coincides with cg of body.

Metacentre is the point about which the body starts oscillating, and metacentric height is the difference between centre of gravity (cg) and metacentre.

Tej said:   10 years ago
Meta means changing, centre means point through which it rotates finally known as changing center. A body tilted about a point stability, neutrally, unstably is known as meta centric point.

What is meant by metacentre?

For stable M greater than Cg.
Neutral equilibrium M=Cg.

For a stable equilibrium the metacentre should lie above the centre of gravity. For a neutral equilibrium the metacentre should coincide with centre of gravity.
