The Total pressure on an immersed surface i.e. PA which is equal to Force(This phrase means the author is talking about FORCE) so don't misunderstand it.

The Total pressure on an immersed surface may be defined as the Weight of the liquid above the immersed surface.

F = Specific weight of liquid * Volume of liquid.
F = Specific weight of liquid * Area of surface * Depth of liquid.
F = wAx (kN).

This answer belongs to total force not total pressure.

Total pressure: Force per unit area i.e. wax divided by a. Then answer should be wx.

The total pressure on a horizontal immersed surface is wx.

The total pressure on a vertical immersed surface is wAx.

The total pressure on a inclined immersed surface is wAxsin(angle).
