The plate is immersed parallel to the flow so its minimum area will experience pressure.
While in case of the body subjected perpendicular to the flow than in that case more area is subjected to pressure so it will experience more pressure.

I think B is the correct option because P = F/A and while the plate is immersed vertically cross-section area which is experiencing the pressure will be more and since the area is more PRESSURE should be less.
