At 1 is called sonic flow.
Between 1 to 5.5 is called super sonic flow.

m<1 = sub sonic.
m=1 = sonic.
m>1 = super sonic.
m>5 = hyper sonic.
m=1 = sonic.
m>1 = super sonic.

Above statement is wrong because hypersonic flow is b/w 1.2 to 5.

1 to 5 are called supersonic flows. Beyond 5 is hypersonic.
