But Mach number = Inertia force/Gravity force. So please explain how it results to that.

Dear Davies, Mach No = Inertia Force/Elastic Force.

Mach no = V/C also,
Where V- velocity of fluid.
C- velocity of sound.
Where V- velocity of fluid.
C- velocity of sound.

Mach no = inertia force/Elastic force.
=> I/E.
=> I/E.

Mach number is the ratio of velocity of fluid or an object to the velocity of sound at standard temperature so, yes option A is the right answer.
