The effect is so-called sloshing effect and often seen in fluid containing vessel. There are two modes of effect, one is convective and other is impulsive. Here the answer is 'C'. For sudden horizon acceleration as in case of seismic, it raise in back ward direction and thus to maintain the plain front side fall down.

Liquid raising at back end & falling at front end so answer is C. It is theoretically proved, not imaginary.
