Water is real fluid because it has the least viscosity. Any fluid having viscosity is real fluid.

"The viscosity is a function only of the condition of the fluid, particularly its temperature. " Water, oil, gasoline, alcohol and even glycerin are examples of Newtonian fluids. Examples of non-Newtonian fluids are slurries, suspensions, gels and colloids.

Newtonian fluid means which obeys Newton's law of viscosity (shear stress is directly proportional to velocity gradient).
But water is a incompressible fluid hence it does not subject to shear. So, I think the and is wrong. Any one explain.
