For turbine, we consider specific speed who is formulated as Nsp.= N*Sq. Q/ H^0.75
So, Q is proportional to H^1.5
So, Q is proportional to H^1.5

Unit discharge Qu = Q/root of H.
It means Q is inversely proportioned to H^1/2.
It means Q is inversely proportioned to H^1/2.

Q = AV.
V = Cv srt(2gH).
Cv is the coefficient of velocity.
V = Cv srt(2gH).
Cv is the coefficient of velocity.

Q = A*V.
And V = (2gH).
Hence Q is directly proportional to H.
And V = (2gH).
Hence Q is directly proportional to H.
