*In an impulse turbine nozzle convert pressure energy fully into kinetic energy, the impeller rotates only by kE.

*in a reaction turbine, high-pressure water enters directly to the turbine, the wheel rotates due to the reaction force and some of the pressure energy is converted into kinetic energy only at the exit of the wheels.
