When the air comes into contact with a cooling coil that is maintained at a temperature below the DPT the air DBT decreases. The cooling process continues until it reaches the DPT of the air. At this point, water vapor in the air starts to condense and dew particles form on the surface of the cooling coils. The moisture content of the air declines reducing its relative humidity. Thus when the air is cooled below its DPT there, cooling and dehumidification occur.

Because, By dehumidifying the SPECIFIC humidity or humidity ratio decreases.

As you see Dehumidifiers are used to reduce & control the Humidity, Its obvious that if we cool & dehumidify the air the Humidity will well below the Ambient/Entering air.

The given answer (higher) is correct. Because the temperature of cooling coil should be below DPT for Dehumidification, and that's why humidity increases.

Yes humidity should be decreased from the psychometric chart.
As it is dehumidifier the moisture content it decreases. Hence relative humidity should be decrease.
