In aqua-ammonia absorption refrigeration system water is absorbent, so ammonia circulate in evaporator. In lithium-bromide water absorption refrigeration systems lithium-bromide is absorbent, so water is circulate in evaporator.

So why not we select option B.

I think that, this question has two answer B & D.

I think the correct answer should be C because in vapour absorption cycle ammonia act as a refrigerator while water as an absorber, you can use either ammonia or lithium bromide as a refrigerator water will remain absorber in either case.

In Aqua->ammobia ref system = ammonia is used as refrigerant & water as Absorbent.

Whereas,

In Lithium->Bromide ref system = water is used as refrigerant and lithium bromide as an absorbent.

And this is the correct and final answer, so don't be get confused. D is the correct answer.
