Simple in heat engine higher to lower and get work.
Pump and in ref Both we have to give work but in a pump, we req higher temp so it's from lower to high and reverse in ref.

Because heat engine absorbs temp from higher source and converts to work and sends the remaining energy to cold sink, where as its totally reverse in case of heat pump work is done to supply the heat from a cold source to heat source.

I think the answer is c.
Because B is for refrigeration.
Because B is for refrigeration.

B is the correct answer as heat is extracted from the lower temperature body and to do this a we have to supply work.

In heat pump the heat absorb from low-temperature body and reject it to high-temperature body when work is done.

I think answer C is right and I agree with Banty.

Reverse of Air Condition is Heat Pump. i.e. taking heat from high temperature reservoir to low temperature reservoir.

B is right answer as work is done to remove heat from sink.

I think answer is C as heat taken by pump and given to sink by doing work on pump.
