MI of triangular section about an axis through its CG and parallel to base = bh^3/36.

The MI of section about an axis through its vertex and parallel to the base = Ig+ad^2.

= bh^3/36 + (bh/2)(2h/3)^2.

= 9bh^3/36.

= bh^3/4.
