t=2 because a second's pendulum completes an oscillation in 2 seconds. So its time period is equal to 2 seconds.

T = 2*pi*sqrt(L/g).
--> 2 = 2*pi*sqrt(L/981).
--> 1 = (pi)^2*(L/981).
--> L = 981/(pi)^2.
--> L = 99.496, i.e. 99.4(approx).
--> 2 = 2*pi*sqrt(L/981).
--> 1 = (pi)^2*(L/981).
--> L = 981/(pi)^2.
--> L = 99.496, i.e. 99.4(approx).
