In Al machine, MA less than VR.

Velocity Ratio (VR) is calculated by dividing the distance moved by the effort by the distance moved by the load.

A machine is said to be an ideal if its efficiency is?

Ideal machine is the machine in which friction is zero so input is equal to output so mechanical efficiency is 100% or 1.

Here mechanical efficiency is the ratio of mechanical advantage to the velocity ratio.

So MA=VR.

Mechanical advantage is similar to the law of the lever.

For an ideal m/c. MA = OUTPUT TORQUE/INPUT TORQUE = INPUT SPEED/OUTPUT SPEED.

For an ideal machine, we are considering that friction and wear of machine are negligible.

So MA is 1.
