Answer is not correct.
Inter-cooling doesn't increases the efficiency because on intercooling temp of air at combustion chamber decreases than normal brayton cycle so heat needs to be supply more in combustion but intercooling increases output as Wc decreases.

Answer is not correct.
Efficiency decreases because with inter-cooling exit temperature of air decreases, so more heat is required to maintain the maximum temperature. Net output of system increases.

Inter cooling only increases the net work output due to reduction in compressor work but decreases the efficiency.
