There is clearly mentioned about four stage it means;
(P2/P1)*(P3*P2)*(P4*P3)*(P5*P4)= 4*4*4*4=256.
So, the right answer is D.
(P2/P1)*(P3*P2)*(P4*P3)*(P5*P4)= 4*4*4*4=256.
So, the right answer is D.

In third stage, why intercooler isb fitted. And how the pressure is increasing? Can anyone briefly destribe about this topic?

For multi satge compressor p2/p1=p3/p2=p4/p3,
p2/p1=p3/p2 from here we get p2=4 then by this relation p4/p3=p3/p2,
p4=64.
p2/p1=p3/p2 from here we get p2=4 then by this relation p4/p3=p3/p2,
p4=64.

The answer must be" D".
Because delivery pressure at the fourth stage means we should find P5, not P4. So P5 = 4^4.

We know that p2 = (p1p3)^(1/2).
Therefore p2 = (1*16)^(1/2),
p2 = 4 bar.
Therefore P4/p2=p3/p1,
P4 = 64 bar.
Therefore p2 = (1*16)^(1/2),
p2 = 4 bar.
Therefore P4/p2=p3/p1,
P4 = 64 bar.

The answer can get by following this one P2/P1 = P3/P2 = P4/P3.

The delivery of forth stage = p5.
p5 = 256.
p5 = 256.
