ABS is an automobile safety system that allows the wheels on a motor vehicle to maintain tractive contact with the road surface according to driver inputs while braking, preventing the wheels from locking up (ceasing rotation) and avoiding uncontrolled skidding.

ABS system it locks and free the pads everytime. So that in free time you can able to steer the vehicle.

Fade means to be worn out generally during braking tremendous amount of heat is produce due to which there is tendency for brakes to get welded with drum for short period. Due to this the control of vehicle becomes impossible.

So abs technology has being developed in which there is a pressure sensor to check the amount of heat produced and the pressure applied by the brakes. If amount exceeds then it disconnects for short while and again engages.

Fading means loss of co-efficient of friction.
