The lead peroxide i.e. pbo2 will have negative charge and will supply electrons to positive lead or spongy lead hense electricity flows from positive to negative and vice versa the flow of electrons.

In the fully charged state, the negative plate consists of lead, and the positive plate is lead dioxide. In the discharged state, both the positive and negative plates become lead sulfate.

In a fully charged battery, +ve plate is lead peroxide & -ve plate is spongy lead.

In a fully discharged battery, both +ve and -ve plate are lead sulphate.
