The oil pump is responsible for conveying the oil for engine lubrication and building up the oil pressure in the lubrication system.
Functions:
Oil pumps are usually operated by the crankshaft by way of auxiliary drives. The delivery of the oil pump is governed by its size, speed and design.

Oil pump are driven by different part either its crank or cam design by the manufacture.
Most of manufacture take option of crankshaft drive cause its reduction and weight.
And most of oil pressure required for the crankshaft.

Oil pump can be driven by camshaft as well as crankshaft. Because Oil pumps are usually either inside the oil pan and driven by a camshaft or outside the pan and driven by a crankshaft.

I have seen many of the old vehicle in ic engine oil pump connected to the cam shaft.
Now a day it connected to cam shaft timing gear.

Oil pump is driven by a cam shaft (also oil pump driven by a crank shaft through camshaft). So, camshaft is the correct answer only.

But first option is true because some engine oil pump is driven by camshaft screw gear both option A and D is also true.

Old vehicle was driven by the camshaft and new vehicle gives by crankshaft. So I think A is the right answer.
