In automotive usage, scavenging is the process of pushing exhausted gas-charge out of the cylinder and drawing in a fresh drought of air or fuel/air mixture for the next cycle.

Scavenging process have mainly used in two strock engine burnt gas will move exhaust port. This time transfer port to coming the fresh air fuel mixture combine to go in outlet port so cylinder inside complete clean to the process.
