Yes, supercharger and turbocharger have a basic difference, from where they get power for rotation. Crankshaft or exhaust gasses.

Actually speaking this is called forced induction, means we can forcefully make the air to pass into the manifold, which is the basic principle behind the working of superchargers and turbochargers.
