For 6 cylinder engine there are many possibility, for eg 1-4-6-3-4-2, 153624, 143625.

Firing order is set to balance the crankshaft in engine to reduce the impact from the connecting rod in series firing. If the firing order is kept in series as 1234 the load impact falls in crankshaft from front to back and the crankshaft will rotate with imbalance and will create heavy vibration to the engine. It will lead to bend the crankshaft in long run in high temperature.

It should be 1-4-3-2 also.

Both 1-3-4-2 and 1-2-4-3 are used in IC engine. But 1-3-4-2 is used more widely.
