1Camshaft revolution = 2cranckshaft revolution
1 rpm Engine speed = 2 crankshaft revolution
Then,
1 camshaft revo = 1rpm so answer = 1000rpm.

Right?

Crankshaft should rotate 2 times for 1 rotation of cam shaft

(4 strokes = suction --- input valve open >>>> compression --- one rotation of crank shaft completed >>>> Power stroke >>>> exhaust stroke --- output valve open ----- two rotations completed of crank shaft).

Therefore, camshaft operated one time for each valve (input and output valve) during two rotations of the crankshaft.

Hence, for 1000 rpm the camshaft must rotate 500 rpm.

Because the engine is a four stroke the camshaft will rotate at the half the speed of the crankshaft that means that valve and fule pump will operate once for every two revolution of the crankshaft.

Cam shaft round *2 = Crank shaft round.
1000*2 = x.
2000 answer.

What about brake power?

2 stroke N = n.

Hitesh Daka said:   1 decade ago
For Two stroke engine: N = 1000 = 100.

Each stroke give power stroke.

Then what about 2-stroke engine?

For four stroke engine: N/2 = 1000/2 = 500.
