Petrol is highly volatile fuel, due to this, it pre- ignited and causes the performance engine.

Petrol has high ignition temperature that is why we use a spark plug to ignite the fuel mixture so how Pre-ignition is possible.

The exact reason is because it leads to detonation which is due to pre-ignition. And that's the reason why the bore size of petrol engine does not exceeds 150 mm because spark has to travel large distance which increases pre-ignition again.
So due to this it cannot be used in large vehicles due to small engine. So only due to detonation the further problems are created mentioned above.
I hope I cleared doubt of more than one question.

Because petrol is low ignition temperature than diesel.

Petrol is highly inflammable, due to high ignition, more fuel is exhausted and comprssion ratio increases, engine results to damage due to high ignition.

Petrol is highly flammable and high compression gets heated the charge which tends to ignite before the spark ignition by hot spots in chamber.
