For one cylinder:.

Swept volume= total volume - clearance volume.

TOTAL VOLUME (for one cylinder) =2400/4=600.
=> swept volume <600.
Because 600-clearance volume<600.

The four cylinder has capacity 2.4 liter means the swept volume of the four cylinder engine is 2400 cm3. So swept volume of one cylinder is 2400/4 = 600 cm3.

2.4lit = 2400mm3.
2400/4= 600mm3.

This is the correct answer.

You are right @Lokesh.

@Harsh.

Why divide by 4?

@All.

We can calculate the only total volume of per cylinder because we don't know clearance volume
2.4L=2400cc or 2400 cm3 this is the total volume of four cylinders so per cylinder total volume is 600cc.

But swept volume = 600 - clearance volume.
May be swept volume = 560 to 570 cc.
