I think, in the explanation, the answer is correct, but a sphere is a 3-dimensional shape, while others are 2d.
Triangle can also be the answer, but if you think differently. I support both answers because they are true in their own way.

Circle, oval and sphere do not have well defined sides. Even if the sphere is 3 dimensional, it is more in common with the circle and oval than the triangle.

Triangle has 3 sides and Circle has infinite sides. So I think D. Sphere should be the right answer.

Triangle, circle and oval are all 2-dimensional shapes but the sphere is a 3D shape so, the answer is D sphere.
