11.
It is up to our government and planners to devise ways and means for the mobilisation of about ten crore workers whose families total up about forty crore men, women and children. Our agriculture is over-manned. A lesser number of agriculturists would mean more purchasing or spending power to every agriculturist. This will result in the shortage of man-power for many commodities to be produced for which there will be a new demand from a prosperous agrarian class. This shortage will be removed by surplus man-power released from agriculture as suggested above.

The most appropriate of the options is B, because the paragraph says the government needs "to devise ways and means for the mobilization of about ten crore workers whose families total up about forty crore men, women and children". It talks of improper mobilization of manpower, and the mention of 'huge population' and that of the term ''our'' we can conclude that it's about Indian economy.

According to me, the answer is D it goes along wit the passage. It has been clearly stated in the passage that our agriculture is manned and "shortage of many commodities to be produced implies that there is the deficiency of workforce in the production sector which results in the shortage of commodities to be produced. If I am wrong please assist me to provide me with the right answer.

The answer should be C. There is no mention of "Indian economy is in poor shape" in the passage. Also there is no sentence to infer that industrial sector is facing labour shortage. The passage says that shifting labour from agriculture to "OTHER EMPLOYMENT"; so that per capital income and purchasing power increase.

No @Ragini other sentences are not mere suggestions these are consequences and reasons behind the poor distribution of labour class and hence answer should be D. As both statements B&D are same except in B India is used so it makes it difficult to find the proper theme for this question.

It is all about "mobilisation of over-manned agriculture"... not talking about labour-deficient industrial sector... so only option B talks best about mobilisation of man-power so B having India in it could be inferred as passage mentions everywhere as "Our"

It depended on the word crore for me. I didn't know it, spent like 2 minutes rereading it, finally decided to google it. I thought it was a misspelling or core or something. That one word drastically changed my view of the question.

The answer should definitely be (D). It goes along with the paragraph given above and makes sense when compared (B).

The most suitable answer is D as the passage only talks about labor deficiency and over-manning.

The answer should be D because nowhere India is mentioned in the passage.
